A lazy off season coastal town has a seaside arcade run by a lonely widower. Local children still want to play the games, but they don't have any money.

Valya is taking care of her three siblings after her parents are drafted to fight the capitalists.
An alien mecha crashes in the forest near their home, and Valya investigates for scrap, even knowing that she should report the wreck to the local commissars. She finds a beautiful alien boy inside, and saves him, but can he really be saved from the evils of his foreign ideology.

The next generation
Recognized as coming from superior genetics in a future that forbids cloning, Captain Wendell Haven is retired to father the next generation of heroes. The problem is that the need for heroes is great, and he's only one man. The powers that be have found that the latest generations have genes that would be complementary to Haven, but there's only one problem. That generation hasn't entered puberty yet. With the clock ticking, a bevy of underage super girls might just be the answer the the problems of a new age.
