Possible changes in story formatting

Hey, everyone.

Due to some things that were occurring with newly arrived authors, I discovered an issue that I had not fixed (though I thought I had...)

This change may affect (in fact, probably will affect) most of the stories on this site.  Most likely, for most of them, the changes will be minor and unimportant.  If, however, you see a major formatting malfunction, please let me know, and I'll work it out with the author in question (assuming I can get a hold of them).

If you are an author, and are trying to figure out how to repair whatever damage may have occurred to your formatting, please contact me, and we'll discuss solutions.

Um... no, not really.  I didn't add anything, I just removed something from the files that people upload, to prevent issues with site styling.

Thanks for keeping things working. Eric.

Would like to get an email with formatting issues or should I post it here?

Email would make more sense, since taking care of the issue only involves the two of us.

Re: Possible changes in story formatting

I don't know if this is the right place or not (I think I've gained a history of doing things incorrectly on this site, so idk), but there might be a formatting error even in your own stories, Eric. It could just be my end, but I don't remember it being like this. I was reading through Woodward, got to Year 5, all the way up to chapter 10, and everything was fine. But then, in chapter 11, and I checked beyond that and even a chapter of year 6, and the time break symbols are just gone. Since I would call this formatting, I thought it might help to let you know, as it might be related to the change. Again, it could be my end, I really don't know as it's been at least 2 years since I last logged in here.

Re: Possible changes in story formatting

"Gone" meaning that the symbols are replaced with the words "Scene Separator"/"Day Separator", or "gone" meaning you see a broken image symbol, or "gone" as in nothing at all appears in that spot, and it just leaves a blank space between scenes?

Re: Possible changes in story formatting

It's just a blank white space, nothing there at all. Side note: The Calendar of Events doesn't have the grid squares anymore, either. The numbers and events show up fine, if a bit smooshed, but the dividing lines don't show up at all, and that's like that for Years 1-8.

Re: Possible changes in story formatting

Yeah, the calendars I knew about.

I'll get around to fixing them eventually.
