Update for June 13, 2023:
Agent of Change, Chapter 23, is finished and with the reviewers.
Chapter 24 is likely to start very soon (like, tomorrow), as I only ended Chapter 23 because I realized it would be way too long if I continued to my anticipated stopping point.
Also, as of today, I have surpassed the 100,000-word mark for the year.

Update for June 20, 2023:
As of today, Agent of Change has breached the 400,000-word mark. At this point, I no longer consider this story a novel. It is a serial: a continuing story with no foreseeable ending. It is a television show in text form, to be canceled when the producer gets sick of it. (Don't worry, the producer will make sure to give it a farewell episode... assuming it doesn't get canceled because the producer died on you before he got sick of the story...)
Also, today marks the first time in years that I have actually exceeded my target word count for this point in the year.

Update for June 27, 2023:
Agent of Change, Chapter 24, has been completed and is with the reviewers.
I may take a short break from AC to write a chapter of another story, just to prevent burnout, but I'm not sure of that. It all depends on what wants to be written. In any case, Chapter 23 will be posted on July 1, and Chapter 24 won't be posted until August 1, so I have plenty of time to get it written, anyway, so long as my muses continue to cooperate... (which is a big enough caveat for anyone...)

I can't say that your writing is like my woodworking, so it may be different for you. When my hands and brain don't have the inspiration, for lack of a better term, to do my crafting, then there's nothing I can do to force good work out of them. I *might* be able to make some sawdust and shavings, but the resulting work will show the lack. Your work is definitely more a act of creation than mine, so I don't see how you can force it. For my part, I'm just happy to see what you can produce.
