No fantasy book, anywhere, EVER, would have been written by following that guideline.

you can do it in WAY2 quite easy
have it as Some Type of magic game for Fun.
i can think of more then one way to do it.
not with your skill but i can think of them

"a duel"
"a gag"
lots of ways to do it.
