Since you are ahead in chapters, do you plan to try and continue your one chapter a month release?
Offline
I have already stated this. When I was forced to break my posting schedule, I said that I would post things as soon as they were available, but no closer together than once a month.
Chapter 8 was posted on June 1.
Therefore, Chapter 9 will post on July 1, Chapter 10 will post on August 1, and Chapter 11 will post on September 1.
I strongly anticipate that Chapter 12 will post on October 1, but cannot guarantee it as I haven't even started writing it yet. (Something I won't be able to say anymore in about fifteen minutes...)

Just because you have previously stated it, doesn’t mean it hasn’t changed between now and then. This just helps us addicts keep from bugging you about post date, we fully know approximately the date it will be released. (You May feel generous and post it a day early, or be a tease and postpone it for another day.)

If I had changed the plan, I would have made an announcement of such, so that people knew what to expect.

With the end in sight, I'm curious if the remaining big questions are going to be wrapped up. I obviously don't expect you to answer here and ruin the surprise but there are some fairly big issues that your loyal readers will hope are resolved (pretty, pretty please). I'm curious if you intend to have David collect all the crystals and construct the weapon/shield thingy; end the war; determine if Dean Lengel was working with Levi Dailey; have David either embrace or defeat his dark side; find out who Ollissa saw as David's love (I'm guessing Zyla); determine what career David will have after the war; determine if David will attend his last year at Woodward to complete his education; let us know if David will work towards building a relationship with his parents (perhaps bringing them to his world and Pendergrass Manor)... I'm sure there are a few more but hopefully, you get the point and won't leave us hanging.
As always, thank you for your herculean effort in creating this amazing series of books. I wish I could nominate you for your work as it deserves to be recognized.

@ Bigfoot, I'm not entirely sure I think this is right, but I have a weird gut feeling David may end up embracing the dark and doing something so crappy that his (Banshee? I can't recall) will pull him into that void like existence when his brain was blown out. Not saying that's a highly likely thing, and I hope it isn't the direction it's going. I could see it happening possibly however as there has been sprinklings of some foreshadowing towards it.

Fine, for anyone who can't wait: David gets fed up, blows off the war, and takes his entire family to Disney World.
Only to find it closed, thanks to COVID-19.

PS: I'm titling that chapter, "Woodward Lampoon's WereWar Vacation."

although that might make a interesting chapter if you do a book 9. David introducing some of his friends and family to earth’s various forms of entertainment.

How viable would it be for a covert Wizard terrorist group on earth that has gone unnoticed..?
Not likely, but just building on thehilz idea haha

KaosKing:
Just remember how David initially got caught.
There's your answer.

So that's it? You're finished? I would think you would be celebrating the conclusion of this epic undertaking... or taunting us by telling us you'll post the final chapter in 2022 or something.
Seriously, though... congratulations...

Didn’t see that coming.

I believe it was Aristotle who said there is no great genius withour some touch of madness. A bonus chapter? Really? Madness, pure madness... Pray tell, will there be a chapter 14? 15? 20?
All I know is my day just got much better. More WAY8 = happiness (well, not so much for David, but that much has been pretty well established in this book).

I'm releasing the rest of the story one sentence at a time. So, every first of the month, you'll get a new sentence. Should be finished releasing the book.... around 2150 or so...

The worst part about that... is it’s actually possible to have stuff posted AFTER your death. So... that isn’t entirely out of the realm of possibility.

I had a feeling there would be an extra chapter in there somewhere to round everything off. In my not so good opinion, I felt that if you closed everything in the next couple chapters, it would be rushed and condensed, not saying you would intentionally do that.

I find it funny that everyone thinks there's no way to finish off this storyline in "a couple months" (because that's what chapters have traditionally been in this book series).
I'd like to point out that chapter 13 is still happening in May. The chapter break is purely arbitrary: I felt that chapter 12 was already pretty long, and adding the significantly large amount of material left to it, would have made it nearly a novel unto itself. So I ended the chapter and started a new one.
But, as I said, it's all still happening in May. There's no logical reason I couldn't have left it all as one.
Eric Storm
PS: Funny part is, when I planned out the novel, before I started writing, I was like, "Yeah, chapter 12 will be about 30,000 words. Pretty long for a chapter, but... eh, there's a lot happening."
I was close. Chapter 12 is about 25,000 words long... It's just that there's still an awful lot of the calendar left to cover.

I think personally, I’m trying to think of fine fine fine minut details that are completely and utterly useless. Which is why I’m thinking it would take a lot longer.
Aside from that, I’d be interested in the business details of David’s financials now that Jacob could potentially be released in the next 150-200 years.
Offline
That would be entirely up to David. Jacob signed his entire estate over to David; he has no legal claim to it whatsoever.

Update for June 22, 2020:
As of right now, I have a writing average of over 1,000 words per day for this year. That is the first time that has happened in a very, VERY long time outside of the first week of January.
