The Woodward Academy, Year 8, Chapter 7: December, is with the reviewers.
Again.
I have made significant edits to several scenes, and as such, I wanted to give them a quick opportunity to make additional comments.
I expect to post this chapter in 3 or 4 days.

Depending on how slothful the reviewers are, I might hold this chapter until June 1, just for tradition. We'll see.

Update for May 24, 2020:
As of right now, not all reviews are in for WAY8-8. Two reviewers are running slow, and one seems to be completely AWOL (hasn't even downloaded the chapter, nor has he responded to emails.) Obviously, I won't wait for the AWOL one.
They'd best hurry up, though, because WAY8-9 is nearly finished...

Most reviewers do have a life cycle. They start out eager and strong, and over time, it tapers off to be a less and less important task. So, while I do have at least one reviewer who has been around since the dinosaurs, I do add new ones/get rid of old ones when necessary.
But right now, none of the current crop has dropped below acceptable standards over time. Sorry, no reviewer for you!

Why not?
Because some of the bastards haven't yet returned WAY8-8!!!
At such time as they are clear of chapter 8, I will send them chapter 9. I will not wait on them before starting chapter 10.
Be aware that, whenever I get to post WAY8-8, WAY8-9 will not be posted before July 1.

It's not so much that we want the story over with, but that we want to see the completion of your vision for it.
We want to see how you save David from his darkness (you've put too many other characters into the story who would be hurt by him succumbing to it for that option to really be expected).
We want to see all of the loose threads tied up (I just know that there are references from the early years that were set up for use in this stage).
In the words of the ever-bubbly Flo, "We want our climax, dammit!"
This is a good story, well written, and very much enjoyed.
