So i was wondering, when i read stories online, it causes alot of strain on my eyes. Does this happen to anyone else?
Does anyone have any ideas how to reduce this?
Also i dont read for a stupid amount of time.

Better your monitor the clearer the text will be. Make sure the brightness is not set too high don't have the text too small and check the contrast between background and text.

Also, if you are like me, and read a lot at night, a DARK background with a LIGHT text helps eye strain quite a bit. (Open office has that option natively, Word does not.....It used to....damn word)

I personally find that, if you prefer the dark-text-on-light-background, not using white as the background helps immensely. I generally opt for a very pale shade of blue, but gray or any other color that you find pleasing to look at would also be good. High contrast is good for reading, but you can overdo it.

IF you are using Winblows:
1. Right-click an empty spot on your desktop. Choose "Properties" (older Winblows versions) or "Customize" (Vista... and 7? I have never used 7...)
2. Choose the appearance tab
3. Click the Advanced button.
4. From the "Item" drop-down list, choose "Window".
5. Set "Color 1" to the background color you want. Set "Color 2" to the text color you want.
6. Click OK
7. Click OK again.
You can, of course, change any other colors while you're in there, but you didn't ask about those.
These directions are useful up to Win XP SP3. I have not used any later versions of Winblows, so your mileage may vary if you're on Vista or 7. Another note: If you fiddle with title bar colors, you will have to switch from "Windows XP style" to "Windows Classic Style" in the Appearance tab.
I believe it is also possible to find themes for Win XP, but that is outside the realm of this tutorial. (I always wanted to say that! )

What we need is an option to download in epub format so that we can transfer the stories to our ebook readers. Sony PRS-505 in my case. 2.5 years and loving it!

I do have the appropriate scripts for that. I simply haven't had time to enclose them into the site. And, of course, it, like all Non-HTML formats, would only be available to donors.
I also don't have anyone to help me test it, to make sure it works. I don't have an ebook reader. Any volunteers?

I would, but since you already have my ebook reader(Palm) I can't help

Wait! You sent us an ebook reader??? When did that come in? *looks to Eric*

Lol, no, the stories can be downloaded into palm format(what I use to read ebooks) Wish I could send you two an ebook reader *shifty eyes*

Okay, so.....
Does the Palm format download work? I've never had anyone say one way or the other.

Yea it does!, it occasionally needs a bit of renaming, (like when the story is too long for one download, I have to rename a file to keep up) but it is usable. It needs Documents to Go, which I think just about every palm comes with now, but mine is an old M300, so I can say if it works on that(200-2004 ish) it will work on just about any of them.

If it works on Documents to Go I guess Blackberries are covered too

Well the only program I have that uses that format is documents to go, so I guess so!
