Where the Maiasaurs Roam

The science team from Harrison Central Academy has won the National Science Competition, and earned a trip back in time. They choose to visit the Late Cretaceous Period: the time of the dinosaurs.

All is well and good, until something goes horribly wrong. Will they survive until the end of their vacation? Will they, in fact, go home?

Re: Where the Maiasaurs Roam

I like chapter 2 now starts the wait for chapter 3. It is my personal opinion that you have been inactive tooo long ( but I also remember the reasons). It is great to have you back and writing again.

Re: Where the Maiasaurs Roam

The story's great so far. It's been a really long time since I've read chapter 1, so had to go back and read that before reading chapter 2.

Re: Where the Maiasaurs Roam

I'm glad you're enjoying it.  I will tell you, though, that right now I'm trying to finish up projects that are closer to their ending than Maiasaurs is.  I'm trying to get the number of open projects on my plate down, so that I won't go so long between updates on any particular item.

Thanks for the feedback, though.

Another great story!  Just one thing.  Why is Laura such a bitch?  She either needs to come to some kind of understanding of herself so she can let go of her demons or she needs to be taught a lesson.  Anyway keep up the good work!

Does there have to be a reason for someone to be an asshole?  Some people just... ARE.  3dsmile

Re: Where the Maiasaurs Roam

Hey I just finished reading Chapter 1 through 3.  Sorry it took so long but I'm a slow reader.

I will admit that especially the first chapter dragged a bit with all the technical details about dinosaurs, but somewhere in the middle of chapter 2 and all the way through chapter 3 the real story started to get going and from then on I started really enjoying it.  You are stretching my suspension of disbelief a bit with the whole premise of the story. I'm not sure if I can fully accept that any organization, that basically sends people on time travel tours, would send a people alone without an "expert" into uncharted territory.  Putting that aside however it is an enjoyable story and I hope you do continue to work on it more.

I do have a few other suggestions but I will not go into those here so as to avoid potential spoilers.  We can discuss them in chat some time.

I just found this, and enjoyed it very much.  I'm looking forward to more, whenever (soon, soon! <G>) it comes.

Re: Where the Maiasaurs Roam

Thanks.  Glad you're enjoying it.  Hopefully Maiasaurs 4 (which I am currently working on) won't take too long to get finished.

Of course, it will go into PRM first, so if you don't have donator access..........  3dwink

Great story.  I am really looking forward to the continuation.  The pace and tone of the story has really come together in the last chapter.

I'm confused - I remember reading chapter four before this, but it's just been posted here.  Was this an update?

Re: Where the Maiasaurs Roam

You did not read chapter four of Maiasaurs, because I just finished writing it.  I don't know what you're remembering.

Re: Where the Maiasaurs Roam

All you've got to do to read chapter 4 is to become a donor.  C'mon, it's only $6...  (of course, I'll accept more, if you want to pay more...  3dsmile  )

Or you can wait until it comes off PRM.

Any chance there is going to be a chapter five?  This is one of my favorite stories.

Re: Where the Maiasaurs Roam

Chapter 5 is currently being written.  If you want to keep track of which stories are really active, and which aren't, you should look at the "Writing Plans" thread in my section of the forum.
