Freerunning, actually - or parkour, to give the name of that which inspired it. I do it myself. ^_^

Hehe - unfortunately, the only video I ever had of me doing something (which was kind of cool, actually - jumping four metres over water) got lost (or recorded over... ¬_¬), and my video camera is broken. I'm also somewhat out of practise these days. But rest assured, should I ever get anything new, I'll ressurrect this thread. XD

Karate Kid is obvious but other than right at the end with an incorrectly coloured Trans-Am in the background how does Knight Rider work into that video?

Not to mention that - no offense to Mr. Chan - he does not inspire an image of calm wisdom... he more inspires an image of frenetic hysteria.
Which is not to say he's not fun to watch. He's just not my idea of "sensei".

sefu not sensei but yea i agree

I think that either sifu or sensei would apply, as sensei has the meaning of both "master" and "teacher".

Interesting: Pat Morita was 52 when he first played Miyagi. Jackie Chan is already 53.
We don't think of Chan as the quiet stoic martial arts elder, but I bet he has it in him. I imagine it takes focus and control to do the amazing things he's done. It might be the "I'm not that guy anymore" role he needs. Of course, he lacks the diminutive harmlessness that Pat Morita conveyed just by being 5'3" tall. I think a big part of what made Miyagi work was that he was smaller than the kids he beat up (Chan is 5'8") and the guy playing him wasn't an icon of acrobatic amazement...

yea but Jackie is Chinese so it would be sifu, sensai is Japanise
now Chow Young Fat hes got the stoic thing going on
