Actually, SM, from my understanding, the US has some of the worst hangups about sex. As I understand it, Europe, Africa, and Asia look at us a lot like, "What the hell's YOUR problem?" when it comes to sexual issues.
I'm not sure that applies universally, but it would make sense, given our Puritanical upbringing as a country.

My father and I agree on very little, but on this particular issue, he and I are in 100% agreement:
If the kid was old enough to understand what he was seeing, then it was high time he saw it.
Schools are always annoyed when kids try learning stuff outside the curriculum.
