Re: Woodward Academy, Year 7, The

One of the things I like and also find maddening is the way you answer subplots such as tattered tom and then draw others out example there was an amulet david was sent and then later identified through the king but was never explained to the rest of us "What the hell does that amulet do?" we are talking WAY 5-6 the dunce who went crazy when David had not used it

I would suggest, then, that you learn to read more slowly.

Re: Woodward Academy, Year 7, The

Since I just started rereading year 7, chapter 1 I was curious who Diane is?  David is in Senestry at the Litha festival talking to the two sisters Anna and Donna when suddenly there is a Diane in the conversation.  Is she supposed to be Donna or Anna?  Or is this another one where I should shut up about a typo and just pick one to correct my personal copy?

Re: Woodward Academy, Year 7, The

You should:

Step 1:  Smack yourself with a rotting fish for posting typos to the forum instead of emailing them.
Step 2:  Fix your copy for now.  It's supposed to be Donna.
Step 3:  Wait for me to upload a corrected version to the website.  It won't be quick for something that nit-picky.

No, that directive, to learn to read more slowly, applies to everyone.

If you've finished reading this post on the same day you started reading it, you still have work to do.

Urgh, wishing I had the funds to donate so I can get my prm access back. This series sits at about the same level for me as the Dresden files when it comes to story addictions. I love good fiction. Can't wait till the first so I can read the new chapter. Thank you Eric.

Re: Woodward Academy, Year 7, The

This chapter was so long and at the same time so short ! ( does it make any sense ?)

It was awesome !!!

I knew I was going to like Christa, it was only a matter of when . 3dsmile

Something I didn't see coming was Lydia's betrayal though, she seems so nice .

I'm surprised we didn't get any news from Gwen, She's supposed to be David's best friend too .

Anyway, I even got to see Sam, so I'm more than satisfied with the chapter !

Quick question: Is Gwen's family's home in any danger from a were attack ? I know it's more or less far from woodward but  anything beyond that I don't know.

If it is would it be possible for David to shelter them ?

Neolyn:  The Hasterscants live in Bellamy.  Judge for yourself how much danger they might be in:  Map of Dugerra

I'm glad everyone seems to be enjoying the chapter I made them wait so long for...

Eric, you didn't make us do anything.  We chose to wait for the quality writing you put forth each and every time.  I thank you for that.

Re: Woodward Academy, Year 7, The

Don't Gwen and Jess live in Bolmont though?  I know they've been to David's Bolmont house several times just for dinner... at least that is the way I remember it.  I figured Jess and Gwen would be on David's list of people staying at his house if the werewolves make it that far.  One son is in Senestry, don't know where the other son is.  Don't officially know where Anne is, but I'm betting it is someplace close to her parents.  And then the last is in New York state somewhere.

Loved the chapter and saw that you already have chapter 9 sent to your reviewers.  Any chance we won't have to wait a full month to get Chapter 9?  I won't blame you to make us wait, but it would be a nice bonus (maybe late Christmas or late new years bonus)?

Re: Woodward Academy, Year 7, The

Barbarian:  If you re-read the scene, you'll note that, though he mentions no one by name, his friends in Bolmont are all covered.  There would be no reason for him, during that conversation, to refer to anyone by name, as they are not known to the Garibaldis.

And no, you won't see Chapter 9 early.  It will probably be posted March 1st, out of tradition.  I said that I would not post chapters closer together than one month intervals.  Otherwise, you'd probably just end up with another super-long wait between chapters again.  Since that would mean posting the chapter on like Feb. 26 or so, and with February having only 28 days, I will probably hold off to the 1st just to re-establish that as the posting date.

Re: Woodward Academy, Year 7, The

So, what about the house up in Erle?  Is David going to protect and stock it just as well and tell Lise to head there?  Maybe letting Lise take a few close friends, unless David has other friends living in Erle.

BTW, I understood that you already covered Gwen and Jess in the chapter.  I was more or less trying to defend the other guys question about it by pointing out that not all the other Hastercants live near the parents now.

Is he going to send anyone down to his Florida house?

I'm not really expecting answers, just speculating.

Re: Woodward Academy, Year 7, The

I actually wasn't attempting to answer neolyn's question regarding David sheltering them, as that might (or might not) reveal plot points.  I was answering his question concerning the possible danger to Bellamy, and thus the Hasterscant house.

As to his home in Erle, I'd suggest you take a closer look at the map, and notice where Erle is located relative to the Vrudenan border.

Oh, and as to his Florida house... so far as we know, he's not been there since his first visit.  As such, it would not be ready for visitors.
