This page demonstrates what a listing of stories might look like on the next version of The Pub. Places you would see a listing like this one would be: the recent submissions list, search result pages, and author sections on the site, listing their work.
Because this is a demonstration page, none of the links actually work. However, anything you see with a dotted line under it has a tooltip help box to explain it. Hover over the item for at least a half second, and the tooltip will pop up with an explanation. All icons, as well, have tooltips associated with them.
The arrow at the bottom of each listing box can be clicked to expand the listing to see more information about the story. When you click the button, the box will expand to show more info. Also, the page will scroll to make sure that the entire box (or as much of it as will fit) remains onscreen.
Though the icon tooltips are fairly self-explanatory, I will explain some of them here, so that their purpose is clear.
Please note that the information presented in some items on this particular page are bogus. It is, after all, just a demo.
And, yes, this popup dialog is also part of the site's potential design, used for any information that needs to be presented such as system messages or additional information... or help pages! :)
