Re: General Comments

Any reason why no "Broken Wings"?

I was surprised not to see "Broken Wings" here.  Any reason for that?

Re: General Comments

*Sighs*

Well, see, I wasn't supposed to be stuck in a rut this long.

There's this other story I'm trying to do before Vanishing Point, which is the sequel to Broken Wings. This other story got stuck, so I flailed around a bit and eventually dove into Winter's Blade, which is, well, stuck.

I don't like how Broken Wings ends. No, that's not true. I don't like that Broken Wings is the end. So the plan's been not to repost it anywhere until I'd started on Vanishing Point.

Then there's Cruel Summer, which came before Broken Wings, which... requires hand-coding HTML to post anywhere, a task I've been meaning to get around to here, but without Vanishing Point started... There's also the not-insignificant issue of providing a proper preface that excuses/exalts Cruel Summer as the early work it is.

It's a house of cards, isn't it? A litany of lameness. I suck. I'll try to suck less.

Re: General Comments

Why, exactly, does Cruel Summer need to be hand-coded?  Perhaps I can script something to alleviate the pain...  Do it with my own work all the time...

Cruel Summer

Awesome story.  Started reading it, only to find I couldn't stop.  One question though...
Angela had to take her crystals off and keep them in the dark, how did Val do that if they were welded on?
