Hello everybody,
SlaveMaster here. I would like to tell you all about The Pub's Java Chat.
The fact is we're not seeing too many people out and about, and I would really like to see the room develop into something special.
So I have devised a plan. Starting next Monday - Thursday from 9:00pm ET, there will be an e-book discussion.
For this month and some of next month we shall be dedicated to the founder of the site, Net Wolf
Week 1 (Completed)
- Camp: Ron's Journey, by Net Wolf
Week 2 (Sept 24-27)
- Dragonseekers, by Net Wolf
Week 3 (Oct. 1-4)
- Program Alpha-Omega, by Net Wolf
Week 4 (Oct. 8-11)
- Justice Seven, by Net Wolf
Week 5 (Oct. 15-18)
- Ahead of the Game, by Night Wolf (This one subject to change)
more to come
If anybody has any ideas on possible discussions pop on in during the times posted above
Here's the link to our room: http://www.wolfpub.org/javachat.php
If you're having problems with that I suggest you use an IRC client program like mIRC or Xchat.

Neitherspace: That's what they invented IRC software for. I'm sure there is some for the Macintosh.

I visited the chat... no one was there. I left some comments in case .

Sorry I was late getting on so you can find at least my self in the room now.

I've tried to go to the chat room a few times, but nobody is ever there. I know I'm not THAT popular, but I would discuss my stories if someone was ever there

Maybe a weekly chat would be better. However, I will arbitrarily attend every now and then.

I've been popping in there when I can and looking for you. What times do you typically come so that I can try to be there when you are?

Greetings
I visit at least one site that simply lists all the people in Chat right along with the folks cruising the forum right on forum main page. Not sure how difficult any of that is...
Enjoy the journey

I too have been to sites that do this. I think this is a mechanism built into the forum software. Unless PunBB has this (which I doubt given that the stated goal of the developer is essentials to the forum no fluff) Net would have to first figure out how to do it. I'm thinking put a bot on the site or Dalnet provides to tool for registered chat rooms that can then report back to the web page.

perhaps you should post that in future feature requests
