Law and Censorship

How does a nation make a law stating that it's illegal to write a story about sex with a girl under whatever age while still allowing stories about women, of any age, being raped or even murdered?

Are they saying pedophiles are somehow more unbalanced than rapists and murderers? That a pedophile is somehow more likely to read a story and go out and act on his thoughts than a murderer or a rapist?

Are they saying that a 13 year old girl's innocence, her virginity, is more important than a 30 year old woman's dignity or life?

Ahem.  I believe that we are aware this is a political question...

And you're old enough to know better.  All politicians share only a single quality:  They don't give a flying fuck if their laws make sense.

Please Remember:  The right to Freedom of Speech does not carry the proviso, "As long as it doesn't upset anyone."  The US Constitution does not grant you the right to not be offended.  If you don't like what someone's saying... IGNORE THEM.
