Hah. You think that, until you realize that we can get up into the 90's in March at times. Florida only has two seasons: Summer, and those three days in February. Here's an idea of how screwed up Florida is: You cannot grow tomatoes in the summer in Florida. Why not? Because tomatoes will not "fruit" if the temperature doesn't get below 75ยบ F at night.
In June - August, it doesn't.
This place, quite frankly, sucks. I know all you folks who live north of, say, Tennessee, think you want to live here... but the fact is, you have three or four months of nasty weather a year. We have about ten.
Not to mention the odd hurricane that threatens to flatten your house, or the odd sinkhole which threatens to make it disappear altogether...

Oh, and regarding the "voter's hell" comment: I don't want to get into politics, but I will point out that the voting problem in Florida is almost entirely restricted to southeast Florida. The REST of us figured out how to vote a long time ago. I cannot imagine how anyone would have had difficulty with the ballot that I voted on (but I gather that each county produces its own ballot...).
It would, I suppose, help if our supervisors of elections weren't being convicted of election-related misdoings, as the Broward county SoE was... *shrugs*

I apologize if I offended you Eric, but I did put a smiley on there. Although Florida has problems with 2 counties, I'm sure other states including mine have some voter fraud going on. It's just that those two counties in Florida haven't learned how to do it on the sly... so to speak. Oh, and just to be clear, I'm against voter fraud of any kind and I wish the perpetrators would serve a really long time in jail or loose their citizenship.

Didn't offend me. I know this state sucks. I just wanted to make sure people were aware that it's not really a "Florida" problem. It's a "Broward/West Palm Beach" problem. As to doing it on the sly... they weren't even TRYING to be covert.
