Well, I guess I owe you guys an apology.

I have been under the impression that I was doing a good job, with both the website and with my writing.  I figured that, since last year I wrote nearly 1/10 of all the words I have ever written, and what with me being well on my way to doing the same this year, I felt that the work was good enough that hey, you might even be willing to help me out of a jam in recognition of the work I put in.

Clearly, I overestimated the value of my efforts.  For that, I apologize.  You've made your voice clear that whatever work I've put in is not worth making a donation over.

Now, let me make clear, this message is in no way directed to anyone who has made a donation recently enough to still have donator access.  To each and every one of you, I can only say Thank You, and Flying-Spaghetti-Monster bless you.

For those who may wish for an update, while we managed to pay the homeowner's and flood insurance, it came at the expense of not being able to pay our electric bill this month.  The donations simply weren't there to cover it.  I can pay part of it; I only hope that is sufficient for them until I can get them the rest of the money.

Anyway, I just wanted to apologize for my misjudgment of my worth.

Let me make clear that I understand that times are hard now.  As someone recently reminded me, many people are "barely making it".  To those people, all I have to say is, I feel your pain.  We are *not* currently "making it", and my frustration at not being able to meet my obligations is even beginning to interfere with my ability to write.

Really, if you don't even have the small amount necessary to donate here, then I wish you the best of luck.  I just wish that some luck would come our way once in a while.

If you are asking how things are going financially, the answer is "lousy".  And until I can figure some way for us to bring in an additional income from somewhere, that is likely to always be the case.  Next month, I have to make one of the quarterly payments on the Homeowner's insurance.  Barring incident, I will be able to pay it, but I hate that I have to qualify that statement in any way.

With the increased costs of food and gas these days, things are only getting worse.  No one is increasing my income to account for my increased expenses.

We're not about to "lose the house" at this point, but we are one serious problem away from disaster.

Something to be added in the site upgrade.  There is no location where you will find "donator time remaining".  However, if you want to know if you still have donator access, just try to access something in PRM.  If you can do it, you still have donator access.    Also, if you see ads *anywhere* on the site, then you do NOT have donator access.

Sorry, Imagineer, no, that is NOT art.  It's litter.

Someone out there thinks that arranging dismembered body parts is art.  They are wrong.
Some moron thought putting a crucifix in a jar full of urine was art.  He was wrong.
And, quite frankly, all the people who think random splotches of paint thrown on a canvas is art... are also wrong.

It has become fashionable to call anything art.  By this standard, I create art every time I take a crap.  It cheapens the very word "art".

Jefferson, it's all subject to the person viewing. I once drew a picture and then was jumped on by some 20 year old, saying she saw private parts in the pic. The pic itself was in no way showing anything of the sort and wasn't even remotely supposed to be rated mature. So you can define porn how you want to, but the idea of it is convoluted and way out there. The definition is too broad and every one has a different opinion. Some just stink worse than others...like buttholes.

I visit off and on but very rarely read the news items. I had no idea it was this bad for you. I cannot donate much but I will donate some to help out one of my favorite authors. Your Camp stories are of course my favorite. I enjoy most of your stories, you have done a great job writing and your efforts are valued. Thank you.
