Update for October 28, 2018:
So today marks the fourth day in a row I've written something. Today I wrote the "big scene" for this chapter. That scene comes near the end of the chapter, so we're getting close. I have at least four more planned scenes to do... no idea how long that will take, or how many more words it will add. The chapter is already at 16,000+ words.
Let's hope my muse stays interested.

Since my muse resides inside of me, and since my body is alcohol intolerant, I don't think the wine would be a good idea. It made me sick the last time I had some... Not conducive to writing...

Wow has it really been over a month since I got on this forum? Sorry to hear about all your life troubles of late. As l have also lost several pets to various illnesses, I can empathize with that at least. It is inspiring to hear that your muse has made an appearance again.

Update for November 1, 2018:
After 8 straight days of writing...
The Woodward Academy, Year 8, Chapter 1: June is now finished, and with the reviewers.
Posting to PRM is at least a week away. I will not wait for that to begin writing Chapter 2 (I hope).
Chapter 1 is over 20,000 words long, so it will take the reviewers a few days (at least) to go through it. Please be patient.

Whatever you have been doing to get the attention of the Lady, keep it up. Those Muses can be fickle ladies. Try putting a writing tablet, a book, laurel wreath, cithara, a blade, grapes, a lyre, an ivy wreath, and a compass near where you write. That should help draw all 9 of the Muses.

I'd rather have a parade of babes representing every ethnicity, hair color, and eye color as my muses. Scantily clad or nude of course. Better yet, just have my personal top five hollywood hotties show up at my door, all at the same time... not that I'd survive the experience, but a guy can always die with a smile on his face.

I'm gonna have to side with Barbarian on this one... Writing could happen during rest periods...
But I would revise to say that I'd prefer my five favorite characters show up, because I will know their personalities. Hollywood-types are notorious for being assholes.

No, not all of them, but unless you follow Hollywood types obsessively, you never know what you're getting. If I'm gonna be "accosted" *wink wink* by beautiful women, I want to know beforehand that they're people I'd actually want to be accosted by.

I guess now would be a good time to point out that my writing is about to slow down for at least several days.
We are taking Cocoa in to the vet on Thursday to have her put down. Her tumor is now the size of a... quail egg, maybe? I don't actually know how big quail eggs are. It's not as big as a chicken egg, but it's bigger than a malted milk ball... The size of a walnut, maybe... In any case, it's grown to the point where it's soon to cause her problems, so it's time to say good-bye to our dear little furball.
Then, on Saturday, we will be bidding farewell to her brother, Snickelfritz. He is being rehomed to somewhere that will allow him to have playmates - LOTS of playmates. He may not know what to do with himself. This gives him a better quality of life, and also protects our elder ferret, Nimbus, from his rambunctious and sometimes aggressive behavior toward her.
Needless to say these are not happy events in our family, and it may be somewhat difficult for me to focus on writing until we get through them. I will try, but I'm just warning you that I may not succeed.

PS: Proof that I am too obsessive about my grammar: Even in the middle of writing this kind of message, I ended up actually looking up whether we were taking Cocoa "into" the vet, or taking her "in to" the vet. Sheesh.

The personality of a beautiful woman has nothing to do with them ravishing me. Once we've had our fun, I would feel free to kick out any that I had a personality conflict with. 
But I get you that you want your muses to show up in the flesh with a compatible personality so you actually want to hang around them outside the times of the little death.

Eric - In late September, we put down our nearly fifteen year old dog. As it has been for every pet we've lost, it is like losing a member of the family. I'm sorry for the pain you have been, are and will be feeling.
