I've had two people now report to me that my site was "broken", yet when I tried to go to the site, it was working just fine.
A quick investigation revealed the problem: HTTPS.
The Mystic Wolf Pub does not currently run on HTTPS, it is still running on HTTP. (For anyone who doesn't know, and actually cares, HTTPS is a secure, encrypted protocol that requires the site to acquire a security certificate to identify itself.)
If you type The Pub's address with an https:// protocol, or if your browser "fixes it" for you, you're going to get an error, and you will not reach the site. So, if you're not able to get to the site at some point in the future, check the URL, and make sure it says http://www.wolfpub.org, and not https://www.wolfpub.org
If and when I ever get the new version of the site working, I will upgrade to HTTPS. Doing so on a new site is not complicated. Doing it on THIS version of the site could be a nightmare. (If I don't get off my butt and get the new version done, I may end up finding out, as it's clear that browsers are quickly moving toward non-support of the HTTP protocol... despite the HUGE number of sites out there that have ABSOLUTELY NO NEED of HTTPS...)
In any case, try to remember this, if you're having trouble getting to The Pub in the future.
