A really beautiful story. And the first in the pub that brought tears to my eyes. Maybe it is because it hits too close to home. I know that look you are talking about, how the item in your hands draws you towards it. But let's not get consumed in melancholy. You touched something deep inside of me. Thank you for that. ----- |

Read this story yesterday and had to come back and comment. I really "loved" this story. I like the play on the comments of a movie, will provide you a spoiler, sorry, and the whole premise of this story. I Have read all of your other stories and this is another in a long list of great stories and plots that I have come to enjoy. Thank you ----- |

You guys are too kind. Very glad to hear that you enjoyed my work. This story was a concept I've had in mind for some time, but never could think of the best context for it. When a Christmas contest was announced on another website, it struck me as the perfect setting for the girl doomed to die of cancer falling in love with a young man desperate for confidence. I'm glad I pulled it off, judging by your reactions. Thanks again for reading!

Very good story, I have to say I got teary eyed reading it.

This is an awesome story. I have been in that situation before. Why I am still here, there are times I don't know. And there are times I hope it is for some higher reason. Guess it will just take time to realize what it is. ----- |
